MasOrange Acquired by Orange | Technology M&A Deal

Orange has completed the acquisition of MasOrange, a telecom business in Spain, for $4.25 billion. Orange acquires MasOrange to gain full control of a leading Spanish mobile and telecom operator and to strengthen its position in Spain, its second-largest European market. MasOrange’s network and commercial operations support Orange’s industrial and operational synergies across telecom services in Spain. The Orange acquisitions represent an add on acquisition by a public company, with Orange now owning 100% of MasOrange’s capital and fully consolidating results going forward. The telecom acquisition followed a binding agreement with Lorca, required European Commission approvals, and brings MasOrange leadership, including CEO Meinrad Spenger, into Orange’s executive committee.
