International Paper has completed the acquisition of North Pacific Paper Company, a food beverage manufacturing business in Illinois, for $360MM. International Paper acquires North Pacific Paper Company to expand lightweight, high-performance packaging grades and improve service for West Coast customers. North Pacific Paper Company supports food and beverage packaging needs through paper-based solutions that add system flexibility to International Paper’s packaging portfolio. The strategic acquisition is part of International Paper acquisitions and is categorized as a divestiture acquisition, with manufacturing M&A activity focused on manufacturing deals IL and IL acquisitions. The deal closed in June 2026, strengthening International Paper’s strategic acquisition footprint in packaging solutions North America.
