SFR Acquired by Bouygues Telecom | Technology M&A Deal

Bouygues Telecom has agreed to acquire SFR, a telecom business in France, as part of a strategic acquisition. Bouygues Telecom acquisitions target SFR’s fixed and mobile network assets to strengthen very high-speed broadband and data connectivity for consumers, enterprises, and public administrations. SFR acquisition also supports investment in cloud, unified communications, cybersecurity, and next-generation services including private 5G. The telecom acquisition is structured as a merger acquisition announced alongside a consortium with Orange and Free-Groupe iliad, covering most Altice France assets while excluding interests in XP Fibre, UltraEdge, and Altice Technical Services, plus overseas activities. Deal size is undisclosed, and the parties are pursuing a protocol d’accord with expected regulatory and closing steps to complete the technology M&A.
