New Horizon Medical Solutions, based in Las Vegas, has acquired Applied Tissue Technologies’ transparent negative-pressure wound therapy (NPWT) device and micrografting kit. The acquisition is intended to expand New Horizon’s wound care portfolio of advanced wound care tools and biologics.
New Horizon’s wound care offering includes skin substitutes developed using amniotic membrane technology, plus workflow and staff training tools and technology integration services designed to reduce administrative burden and improve documentation and claims. Applied Tissue, based in Boston, provides proprietary negative-pressure wound therapy technology, including its Xpansion micro-autografting kit, which it says helps clinicians expand the donor-to-coverage ratio for autografts.
