UP Fiber has completed its acquisition of AT&T wireline assets across Michigan’s Upper Peninsula and Mackinaw City. The purchased footprint includes more than 9,000 miles of network infrastructure and related facilities spanning 40 wire centers.

UP Fiber says it is focused on continuity of service for existing customers while it modernizes and strengthens the network. In partnership with Michigan Broadband, a MachTen subsidiary, UP Fiber plans to support home phone, internet, and video services and expand coverage to more than 200,000 passings during ongoing network transition.
