Deal Overview

Kempinski Group has announced the acquisition of Augustine Hotel Prague, a historic luxury property in Prague’s Malá Strana beneath Prague Castle. The deal is structured as a wholly owned acquisition.

Kempinski says the move supports a strategic shift toward an asset-heavier approach to its global portfolio. Augustine Hotel Prague operates within the walls of the Augustinian Monastery of St. Thomas and includes 101 guest rooms (including 20 suites), speciality restaurants, a spa and fitness centre, a Monastic Library, and more than 400 sqm of meeting space.

The property also offers more than 650 sqm of outdoor terraces and gardens. Kempinski frames this as its first acquisition in over 50 years, since its 1970 investment in Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten Kempinski Munich.
