Huntsville Hospital Health System has completed the acquisition of Crestwood Medical Center in Huntsville, Alabama from Community Health Systems (CHS) for $459 million. The purchase price is higher than the $450 million initial deal announced in January and was subject to a post-closing working capital adjustment.

Crestwood Medical Center will be acquired by the nonprofit Huntsville Hospital Health System, which operates hospitals in northern Alabama and southern Tennessee. CHS is continuing a divestiture program aimed at paying down debt.
