Cumberland Pharmaceuticals Acquired by Apotex | Healthcare M&A Deal

Apotex has acquired Cumberland Pharmaceuticals, a pharmacy business in Tennessee, for $100 million. Apotex acquisitions are focused on integrating Cumberland’s FDA-approved specialty medicines, including Acetadote, Caldolor, Kristalose, Sancuso, Vaprisol, and Vibativ, into a U.S. branded commercial platform based in Nashville, TN. Cumberland Pharmaceuticals develops and markets specialty pharmacy products, and Apotex is pursuing the pharmacy acquisition to expand specialty medicine delivery and patient care.
