Western Union Completes Dash Wallet Acquisition

Western Union has completed its acquisition of Dash, the Singapore-based mobile wallet owned by Singtel, after regulatory approvals. The transaction gives Western Union access to a platform with more than 1.4 million users in Singapore.

Dash, launched in 2014, offers payments, remittances, savings, insurance, and investment services within a single app. Western Union said the acquisition is its first wallet in Asia Pacific and supports a strategy to embed cross-border capabilities into everyday consumer financial use.
