InnovMetric, a provider of 3D metrology solutions for manufacturing, announced it acquired the intellectual property of French company Digisens. The deal brings on a team of software developers with expertise in computed tomography (CT) data processing.
Digisens was founded in 2002 in Le Bourget du Lac, France, and is known for image reconstruction, voxel-based visualization, material integrity analysis, and high-precision surface determination. InnovMetric is integrating Digisens’ developers into its group and is developing an extension module to import CT scanner data directly into PolyWorks.
The integration is intended to let users compare internal and external part geometry against CAD models with high accuracy.
