Hallador Energy has acquired Energy World, a energy services other business in Indiana, for $350 million. Hallador Energy acquisitions include approximately 460 MW of Siemens gas turbines, generators, and ancillary equipment tied to the Merom simple-cycle natural gas generation project near Merom, IN. Energy World acquisition supports long-lead-time equipment procurement for Hallador’s MISO ERAS interconnection process, with delivery, refurbishment, insurance, and logistics estimated at about $100 million. The public company acquisition is structured as an asset purchase agreement and is categorized as an energy M&A divestiture acquisition, securing turbine capacity amid supply constraints and extended new-build delivery windows.
