Burke & Herbert to Merge with LINKBANCORP by May 1

Burke & Herbert Financial Services Corp. and LINKBANCORP, Inc. announced receipt of all required regulatory approvals or waivers to complete their previously announced merger. The companies expect the transaction to close on May 1, 2026, subject to customary closing conditions.

The merger is governed by an Agreement and Plan of Merger dated December 18, 2025. Burke & Herbert is the financial holding company for Burke & Herbert Bank & Trust Company, headquartered in the greater Washington, D.C. area. LINKBANCORP’s subsidiary, LINKBANK, is a Pennsylvania state-chartered bank serving customers across Pennsylvania, Maryland, Delaware, and Virginia through 24 client solutions centers.
