IBA Group Acquired by bd-capital in Platform Deal

Aviation intelligence and advisory firm IBA Group has been acquired by private equity firm bd-capital for an undisclosed purchase price. Founded in 1988 and headquartered in the UK, IBA provides aviation data, intelligence and advisory services used for aircraft valuations, fleet planning, lease management, financing decisions, and regulatory compliance.

IBA operates two divisions: aviation data and analytics, and technical advisory services. Under former owner TPA Capital, the company launched IBA Insight digital solutions to monetize its proprietary dataset collected over decades of advisory work. bd-capital said it will bring institutional capability to scale IBA’s business information services, and appointed Graham Elton as chairman.
