Grab has completed the acquisition of Infermove, a last mile delivery business in China, for $50 million. Grab acquisitions target Infermove’s AI robotics platform for autonomous mobile manipulation, including sidewalk delivery robots with upper-limb capabilities, supporting first mile and last mile logistics operations. Infermove acquisition expands Grab’s ability to operate robots in unstructured environments by using end-to-end algorithms and imitation learning trained on delivery rider driving data. This strategic acquisition is part of logistics M&A and platform acquisition strategy by a strategic buyer, with deal size reported in the $50M–$100M range and an announced status.
