Instacart to Acquire Instaleap for International Expansion

Instacart announced it will acquire retail tech platform Instaleap for an undisclosed amount as part of its international expansion strategy. Instaleap’s partnerships include major grocers such as Cencosud in Latin America and Continente in Portugal.

Instacart said the deal will add a grocery-specific fulfillment solutions services platform and expand access to established retailer relationships outside the U.S. Instaleap has partnerships with nearly 100 grocery retailers outside North America, powers more than 100 million transactions, and operates in nearly 30 countries. Instacart plans to initially operate Instaleap as a wholly-owned subsidiary.
