MicroBiopharm Japan Acquired by Gujarat Themis Biosyn | Healthcare M&A Deal

Gujarat Themis Biosyn has completed the acquisition of MicroBiopharm Japan, a medical devices business in Japan, for approximately ₹1,300 crore (about $100M+). Gujarat Themis Biosyn acquires MicroBiopharm Japan to expand healthcare M&A capabilities through API, intermediates, and contract development and manufacturing (CDMO) services. MicroBiopharm Japan Co, Ltd operates in microbial fermentation and biotechnology-based manufacturing, supporting oncology APIs and plasmid DNA production for pharmaceutical customers. The platform acquisition is structured via Themis Biosyn Japan Ltd, a wholly-owned subsidiary, and will be funded through a mix of debt and equity, subject to regulatory approvals and customary closing formalities.
