Papilo Acquires REKK Recycling to Expand Scotland Reach

Papilo has completed its acquisition of REKK Recycling, a waste management business based in Uddingston near Glasgow. The deal expands Papilo’s geographic reach into Scotland, and REKK founders Steven Dodds and John Byrne will stay with the expanded group.

Papilo is backed by Palatine’s Impact Fund and has now completed three acquisitions in the last 12 months, following February’s purchase of Midlands-based Allwood Recycling and last year’s acquisition of North West-based Silverwoods Waste Management. The transaction value was not disclosed and was funded by Kartesia and Virgin Money.
