ScionHealth Acquired by Lifepoint Health | Healthcare M&A Deal

Lifepoint Health has completed the acquisition of ScionHealth, a healthcare services other business in Tennessee, for an undisclosed amount. Lifepoint Health acquisitions add eight community hospitals that serve patients across six states, expanding its healthcare services footprint. The ScionHealth acquisition preserves existing employees and providers at the acquired facilities, supporting continuity of care in each market. The strategic acquisition is structured as a divestiture acquisition, with Lifepoint acting as a strategic buyer in healthcare M&A. Lifepoint Health acquired the hospitals after signing the agreement in March and closing the deal in early June.
