Casella Waste Completes Star Waste Acquisition

Casella Waste Systems, Inc. has completed its acquisition of Star Waste Systems, LLC, a privately held waste collection company operating in eastern Massachusetts and southern New Hampshire. The transaction closed on April 1, 2026.

The deal is expected to generate approximately $100 million of annualized revenue. Star Waste serves about 80,000 locations across its footprint and includes three solid waste collection locations plus a construction and demolition (C&D) processing and transfer station. Casella funded the acquisition using cash on hand and available capacity under its revolving credit facility.

Casella said the acquisition strategically augments its asset positioning and enhances collection density in the Boston market.
