Shift Up, the studio behind Stellar Blade, has announced it acquired Japanese studio Unbound, led by game industry veteran Shinji Mikami. The acquisition includes confirmation that Unbound is working on original PC and console-based IPs.
Shift Up said Unbound’s team of veteran developers will support its PC and console game development pipeline. The companies also confirmed that Shift Up will serve as the publisher for all of Unbound’s upcoming games. Mikami said partnering with Shift Up CEO Hyung-Tae Kim allows his team to focus on creative aspects of game development.
