Deal Overview
Acrisure completed its acquisition of managing general agent Vave from Canopius. Vave continues to operate under its brand name and becomes part of Acrisure Underwriting, a New York-based platform of 12 MGAs. Vave remains led by CEO Marek Shafer.
Vave has its principal place of business in Chicago and operates under London-based Canopius, trading since 2019. Vave uses science, data, and underwriting to deliver instantly bindable quotes for catastrophe-exposed E&S property risk in the U.S., generating more than 10,000 quotes per day via APIs across commercial, homeowners, flood, and earthquake coverage.
