Citrix to Acquire MDM Vendor Zenprise

Citrix signed a definitive agreement to acquire Zenprise, a mobile device management (MDM) vendor. The acquisition is designed to expand Citrix’s enterprise mobility offering.

After closing, Citrix plans to integrate Zenprise’s MDM solution with Citrix CloudGateway and Me@Work to manage mobile devices, mobile apps, and data through a single, integrated enterprise mobility product line. The announcement frames the combined approach as addressing BYO challenges by adding security and control for corporate apps and data.
