Russell Completes Zurich IM Acquisition in Australia

Russell Investments has completed the acquisition of Zurich Insurance Group’s Australian investment management business. The deal expands Russell’s distribution reach across Australia’s financial adviser network.

The transaction was announced in January and is expected to add nearly $2 billion in funds under management. Russell will incorporate Zurich’s funds and adviser relationships into its local platform, while rebranding the funds as the Z Series and keeping their structures, investment strategies, and specialist managers unchanged. Russell did not disclose deal terms.
