Aston Harald Mekaniska Verkstad Acquired by BAE Systems Bofors | Manufacturing M&A Deal

BAE Systems Bofors has completed the acquisition of Aston Harald Mekaniska Verkstad, a metals fabrication business in Sweden, for $17,240. BAE Systems Bofors acquires Aston Harald Mekaniska Verkstad to expand precision mechanics and component machining capacity for defence, aerospace and commercial customers from Kristinehamn, Värmland. Aston Harald Mekaniska Verkstad acquisition supports supply security for European defence programmes including ARCHER self-propelled howitzer, TRIDON Mk2 mortar, Combat Vehicle 9040, and naval guns 40 Mk4 and 57 Mk3. The manufacturing M&A is an add on acquisition and strategic acquisition by a strategic buyer, with the purchase agreement signed in February 2026 and the deal now closed.
