Coen Markets Acquired by Cumberland Farms | Consumer M&A Deal

Cumberland Farms has completed the acquisition of Coen Markets, a consumer other business in Pennsylvania, for $9 billion. Cumberland Farms acquisitions expand the convenience-store footprint with Coen Markets’ 54 locations across Pennsylvania, Ohio, and West Virginia, plus three new-to-industry stores under development. Coen Markets operates a from-scratch foodservice concept, including Coen Kitchen, and runs coffee bars with fresh bean-to-cup offerings that Cumberland Farms plans to integrate into its U.S. operations. The strategic acquisition is structured as an add-on acquisition by a strategic buyer, with regulatory approvals expected to support a close in 2026 and value creation through combining regional network and established foodservice capabilities.
