PA-CAT Acquired by UTEX Scientific | Technology M&A Deal

UTEX Scientific has acquired PA-CAT, a enterprise software business in the NDT technology space, for an undisclosed amount. UTEX Scientific develops nondestructive testing (NDT) software, instrumentation, and automated inspection systems, and the UTEX Scientific acquisitions strategy targets advanced inspection analytics. PA-CAT provides patented phased array ultrasonic corrosion analysis with cloud-based modeling algorithms that deliver quantitative assessment results for piping and vessels, supporting industry-standard phased array equipment. The PA-CAT acquisition is an add-on acquisition within a strategic acquisition framework, with UTEX Scientific taking ownership of the technology, algorithm development, client licensing, and future enhancement roadmap. Existing PA-CAT users will continue to receive support and upgrades through an integrated team, and the deal is announced with terms covering ongoing client access.
