Direct Trailer Acquires Antares Trailers in Flatbed Deal

Direct Trailer has acquired Antares Trailers in a flatbed trailer equipment deal, with financial terms not disclosed. The companies said their product lineups are complementary, combining flatbed manufacturing capabilities.

Direct Trailer, through its Loadstar brand, offers steel trailers plus combos and focuses on custom equipment. Antares, based in Winamac, Indiana, builds combo flats and drops with an emphasis on common equipment specifications. Derrick Dilts, then operations partner at Antares, will become president of Direct Trailer and succeed John Nelson, who is retiring at year’s end.
