D-Fend Solutions Acquired by Motorola Solutions | Technology M&A Deal

Motorola Solutions has acquired D-Fend Solutions, a cybersecurity business in Israel, for $1.5 billion. Motorola Solutions acquisitions add counter-drone capabilities by integrating D-Fend’s non-kinetic radio frequency cyber-takeover technology that can detect, identify, and mitigate rogue drones by overriding communications and redirecting them. D-Fend Solutions acquisition supports authorized operators and helps protect public safety, government, federal, and enterprise airspace operations without disrupting legitimate drone activity. The platform acquisition is a strategic acquisition by Motorola Solutions and is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2026, subject to regulatory approvals and customary closing conditions, with D-Fend projected to generate about $185 million in revenue during 2026.
