Motorola Solutions has acquired D-Fend Solutions, a cybersecurity business in Nevada, for $1.5 billion. Motorola Solutions acquisitions add counter-drone technology that helps isolate and safely remove rogue drones, supporting safer airspace operations for government, public safety, and enterprise customers. D-Fend Solutions provides field-proven drone mitigation systems with thousands of deployments across more than 30 countries, addressing communications override and threat mitigation needs. The platform acquisition is a strategic acquisition within technology M&A, expected to close in Q4 2026, subject to regulatory approvals, and is sized at over $100M.
