Equiniti Acquired by Bullish | Financial Services M&A Deal

Announced
Financial ServicesPlatform

Deal Overview

Bullish has acquired Equiniti, a financial services other business in Cayman Islands, for $4.2 billion. Bullish acquisitions combine blockchain-native token design, issuance, operation, and compliance with Equiniti’s regulated transfer agent and shareholder services for nearly 3,000 issuer clients and about 20 million shareholders. Equiniti processes roughly $500 billion in annual payments, supporting mission-critical corporate actions and serving as a system of record for public companies. This strategic acquisition is a platform acquisition by an institutional-grade digital asset platform, integrating tokenized securities infrastructure with global distribution and liquidity capabilities. The definitive agreement is announced, with closing expected in January 2027 subject to regulatory approvals and customary conditions, including $1.85 billion of assumed debt and about $2.35 billion in Bullish stock consideration.
