The Medford-based ambulatory surgery center provides outpatient surgical services and was positioned as a potential consolidation asset within Oregon’s healthcare delivery network. The Surgery Center of Southern Oregon acquisition and broader healthcare M&A effort stalled when Asante and the center withdrew requests for Oregon Health Authority approval and an emergency exemption tied to Health Care Market Oversight review. The other acquisition was terminated, leading the facility to close June 30 rather than transition to sole ownership under the proposed OR acquisitions structure.
