Deal Overview

Goldman Sachs Asset Management has completed its acquisition of Innovator Capital Management, an ETF provider focused on defined outcome exchange-traded funds. Innovator is described as managing approximately $31 billion in assets under supervision across 171 ETFs.

Following the close, Goldman Sachs Asset Management says it manages around 240 ETFs globally, with total ETF assets under supervision rising to about $90 billion. The integration includes leadership roles for Innovator co-founders Bruce Bond and John Southard as Advisory Directors, and Chief Investment Officer Graham Day and Head of Distribution Trevor Terrell as Partners. More than 70 Innovator employees are transitioning to Goldman Sachs, with existing investment management and service providers retained for continuity.
