GreenShield Acquires Kii Health Canada Mental Health Arm

GreenShield has acquired Kii Health’s Canadian mental health services segment. The deal expands GreenShield Health’s mental health capabilities and care footprint across Canada, with stated growth focus in Western Canada and Quebec.

The acquired offerings include Kii Health’s Employee and Family Assistance Program (EFAP), Student Assistance Program (SAP), CBT Associates, Therapist Assisted Internet-Delivered Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TAiCBT) services, and the MindBeacon digital therapy platform. The transaction is positioned as part of GreenShield’s integrated coverage-and-care strategy.

GreenShield cited market demand for mental health support in Canada, including that one in three Canadians would leave their job for better benefits and two in three have faced a mental health challenge in the past year.
