McDonald’s has sold a Hong Kong retail property for US$11.9 million (HK$93.5 million) to Huge Power (China) Ltd., extending its asset sell-down in Hong Kong. The ground-floor unit is located at Mount Sterling Mall in Mei Foo Sun Chuen, Lai Chi Kok.

The 6,915 square foot shop was sold at about HK$13,500 per square foot. McDonald’s Restaurants (Hong Kong) Ltd. will continue to lease the premises under a 20-year tenancy agreement running until 2036. The sale follows a prior 1988 purchase by McDonald’s for HK$27.4 million and brings total Hong Kong proceeds to about HK$580 million.
