Deal Overview

Goldman Sachs Asset Management has completed its acquisition of Urban Campus Products and Solutions, a managed residential operator. The reported structure includes a majority stake for Goldman, while Nexity, Batipart, and co-founder and COO Maxime Armand remain minority shareholders.

The mandate cited for Goldman’s pan-European platform build is €600 million, with preliminary agreements already signed for student residences and additional assets expected to follow. Urban Campus was founded in 2016 and previously took Nexity and Batipart as minority shareholders after a €7 million funding round in spring 2021.

The planned portfolio referenced would cover eight residences across the Paris region, Bordeaux, and near Geneva, targeting 1,500 to 2,000 beds and an investment volume of more than €200 million.
