Amplitude Vascular Systems Acquired by Stryker | Healthcare M&A Deal

Stryker has completed the acquisition of Amplitude Vascular Systems, a medical devices business in Massachusetts, for $80 million. Amplitude Vascular Systems develops the Pulse intravascular lithotripsy (IVL) platform that treats severely calcified arterial disease using a carbon dioxide–driven pressure wave delivered via a balloon catheter to fracture calcium and restore blood flow. Stryker acquires Amplitude Vascular Systems to expand its peripheral vascular portfolio and strengthen its position in coronary artery disease and peripheral artery disease interventions. The strategic acquisition is an add on acquisition within healthcare M&A, with financial terms undisclosed beyond the reported consideration, and it closed less than a month after announcement.
