ARC Resources Acquired by Shell | Energy M&A Deal

Shell has acquired ARC Resources, a energy services other business in Canada, for US$13.6 billion. Shell acquisitions add ARC’s Montney shale basin production footprint across British Columbia and Alberta, strengthening Shell’s Canadian resource base. ARC Resources acquisition brings liquids and gas output with low-carbon intensity shale gas and liquids exposure, supporting Shell’s long-duration growth and LNG optionality in Canada. The strategic acquisition is structured as a merger acquisition with ARC shareholders receiving CAD 8.20 in cash and 0.40247 ordinary shares, and the announced deal size totals about $16.4 billion.
