Deal Overview

Credo Technology Group Holding has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire DustPhotonics, a developer of Silicon Photonics Photonic Integrated Circuit (SiPho PIC) technology for optical transceivers.

The acquisition is intended to accelerate Credo’s optical interconnect roadmap by adding in-house SiPho PIC capabilities to its vertically integrated connectivity stack spanning SerDes, DSP, silicon photonics, and system integration. DustPhotonics’ SiPho PIC portfolio covers 400G, 800G, and 1.6T with a roadmap to 3.2T, integrating multiple optical functions onto a single chip.

Credo states the SiPho PIC market is expected to grow to $6 billion by 2030 and that SiPho PIC technology is a foundational component of its ZeroFlap Optical Transceiver platform. Credo expects combined optical products to generate greater than $500 million in optical revenue in fiscal 2027.
