Ametek has acquired Indicor instrumentation businesses, a industrial equipment business in the manufacturing sector, for $5bn. Ametek acquisitions focus on instrumentation used in industrial applications, supporting measurement, control, and process monitoring capabilities tied to Indicor’s industrial equipment portfolio. The acquisition of Indicor instrumentation businesses strengthens Ametek’s industrial equipment acquisition strategy through a strategic acquisition and divestiture acquisition of non-core units. The announced divestiture acquisition is valued at $276m and is expected to close under agreed terms, expanding Ametek’s manufacturing M&A footprint with a strategic acquisition approach.
