Carlson Private Capital Partners announced milestones tied to team expansion, a new platform investment, and support for an add-on acquisition at portfolio company Quantum Design. The firm hired Jared Brown as managing director to focus on new platform investment partnerships and strategic investments with family and founder-owned businesses.
Carlson Private Capital Partners also completed a platform investment in AMAG Technology, described as a global provider of high security access control, identity, guest, and video management solutions serving mission-critical end markets including data centers, healthcare, and education. The firm said it invested in AMAG in partnership with Shore Rock Partners and BellTower Partners.
In addition, Carlson Private Capital Partners supported Quantum Design’s acquisition of the Oxford NanoScience division of Oxford Instruments in January. The firm said the combination brings together more than 100 years of cryogenics and related technologies and expands Quantum Design’s reach across cryogenics, materials characterization, quantum information, and microscopy.
