GCI Holdings has completed the acquisition of Quintillion, a logistics other business in Alaska, for $310 million. GCI Holdings acquires Quintillion to expand Alaska fiber network connectivity by combining more than 1,800 miles of subsea and terrestrial fiber with about 1,500 miles of planned expansion. The unified network supports a ringed architecture for automatic traffic rerouting during disruptions, improving service reliability for remote communities and critical communications. This platform acquisition is a strategic acquisition by a strategic buyer, with GCI Holdings acquisitions valued at $310 million plus a $160 million unsecured loan and up to $50 million in reimbursed qualifying capital expenditures, subject to regulatory approvals and customary closing.
