Energy Vault Holdings acquired a Texas battery energy storage project under its Asset Vault platform. The project was originally announced as a 150 MW battery storage asset acquired from Shell subsidiary Savion.

The project’s construction was expected to start in Q4 2025, with operations targeted for Q1 2027. The company expected the asset to generate $17–$20 million annually for 10–15 years and to enhance grid support and renewable integration in the ERCOT North market.
