Tri Pointe Homes Acquired by Sumitomo Forestry | Construction M&A Deal

Sumitomo Forestry has completed the acquisition of Tri Pointe Homes, a general contracting business in New York, for $47.00 per share. Sumitomo Forestry acquires Tri Pointe Homes to expand its U.S. single-family homebuilding platform with premium lifestyle brand operations across more than 160 active communities in 13 high-growth states. Tri Pointe Homes’ local operating platform supports construction M&A scale in general contracting, adding approximately 15,000 annual units across 18 states. The merger acquisition is a strategic acquisition by a strategic buyer, with Tri Pointe Homes becoming a wholly owned subsidiary and ceasing trading on the NYSE, as part of Sumitomo Forestry acquisitions to accelerate sustainable growth in U.S. housing.
