Atraverse Medical Acquired by Johnson & Johnson | Healthcare M&A Deal

Johnson & Johnson has acquired Atraverse Medical, a medical devices business in the United States, for undisclosed terms. Johnson & Johnson acquisitions target Atraverse Medical’s HOTWIRE Transseptal Access System, an FDA-cleared RF guidewire and generator platform for next-generation left-heart access in cardiac ablation. The technology supports electrophysiologists performing left atrium access for atrial fibrillation and other cardiac arrhythmias, with reported use in about 3,000 clinical procedures. The healthcare M&A is an add on acquisition by a strategic buyer, expanding Johnson & Johnson’s MedTech cardiac ablation solutions. Johnson & Johnson expects the strategic acquisition to close in Q2 2026, subject to customary closing conditions.
