Idelic Acquired by Descartes Systems Group | Technology M&A Deal

Descartes Systems Group has completed the acquisition of Idelic, a data analytics business in DE, for $28 million. Idelic, based in Pittsburgh, provides fleet safety solutions that integrate monitoring, reporting, and driver training to identify risky driving behaviors. Using AI-driven predictive analytics, Idelic applies machine learning to more than 40 billion miles of driving data and 400,000 accident reports to forecast driver risk and improve safety interventions. Descartes Systems Group acquisitions expand its Fleet Data Intelligence platform through an add on acquisition that combines route planning with predictive safety capabilities, funded with cash on hand. The strategic acquisition includes a performance-based earnout of up to $12 million tied to revenue targets over the two years following closing.
