Rocket Lab has acquired Motiv Space Systems, a technology other business in California, for $30 million. Motiv Space Systems designs space robotics, motion control systems, and precision mechanisms used in spacecraft and planetary missions, including Mars rover robotics and lunar rover mechanisms. Rocket Lab acquisitions bring in multi-degree-of-freedom robotic arms, actuators, and drive electronics to expand surface operations, instrument deployment, and optical payload motion control capabilities.
