Sun Pharma has acquired Organon, a pharmacy business in New Jersey, for $11.75 billion. Organon is a healthcare company with branded medicines and women’s health and specialty therapies, supporting Sun Pharma acquisitions in pharmacy and expanding its product portfolio. Sun Pharma acquisitions also strengthen healthcare M&A capabilities as the buyer pursues a strategic acquisition to broaden access to key therapeutic areas across the U.S. The merger acquisition is structured as a strategic acquisition and was announced as a definitive agreement, with deal size over $100M and an expected close subject to customary conditions.
