Prior Labs Acquired by SAP | Technology M&A Deal

SAP has acquired Prior Labs, a enterprise software business in Europe, for $X. Prior Labs develops tabular foundation models, including the TabPFN model series and TabArena benchmark leadership for structured data AI. SAP wants the strategic acquisition to accelerate frontier AI research and productization by combining Prior Labs models with SAP AI Core, SAP Business Data Cloud, and the Joule agentic layer. The technology M&A is a strategic acquisition by SAP, with Prior Labs expected to operate as an independent entity within the SAP family. The definitive agreement was announced, with closing targeted for the second or third quarter of 2026 subject to regulatory approvals, alongside a commitment to invest more than €1 billion over four years.
