OpenAI has completed the acquisition of Tomoro, a enterprise software business in the United States, for $4 billion. OpenAI acquires Tomoro to expand AI consulting capabilities, bringing roughly 150 AI engineers and deployment specialists focused on enterprise AI adoption and integration. Tomoro’s applied AI engineering support helps organizations connect generative AI systems to infrastructure and workflows, strengthening OpenAI’s enterprise software acquisition strategy. The add on acquisition is part of OpenAI’s DeployCo consulting launch, seeded with $4 billion and backed by investors led by TPG alongside Advent, Bain Capital, and Brookfield, with OpenAI acquisitions planned to grow forward-deployed engineering teams.
