Goonhilly Earth Station and COMSAT Acquired by Intuitive Machines | Technology M&A Deal

Intuitive Machines has entered into the acquisition of Goonhilly Earth Station and COMSAT, a technology other business in the United Kingdom, for an undisclosed amount. Intuitive Machines acquisitions will add Goonhilly’s Lunar and Deep Space Communications, Commercial Satcom, and Defense and Security divisions, expanding space-to-Earth communications capacity with 44 additional antennas and improved deep space network availability. The Goonhilly Earth Station and COMSAT acquisition strengthens lunar and cislunar spacecraft communications, data relay, and position, navigation, and timing (PNT) capabilities through X-band, S-band, and Ka-/Ku-band ground infrastructure. This platform acquisition is a strategic acquisition by a space communications operator, expected to close in Q3 2026 subject to customary conditions and regulatory approvals, including UK National Security and Investment Act 2021 and US Federal Communications Commission review.
